So apparently Nintendo is releasing a new battery for the Wii U Gamepad in Japan that offers better battery life. The standard is a small 1500mAh that last 3 to 5 hours. It’s confirmed that the new battery is a 2550mAh that will last 5 to 8 hours. This new batter is priced at 3,150 yen which is roughly $30. Source
