Today Nintendo announced another version of the 3DS. The Nintendo 2DS! This is meant to be an affordable option for those who have yet to purchase a system. There is no 3D and no clam shell design. But to get the best handheld on the market for just $129.99 is a pretty good deal.

The Rune Factory series are one of my favorite games. I never got the chance to play 2 or 3 on DS but I’m looking forward to the series going back to handheld style after Tides of Destiny and Frontier.
