This is truly amazing for us indie developers. There is a big push of indie games coming to Wii U. Nintendo is giving Unity Licenses away for free to those who sign up and buy their SDK’s. Developers can also self publish for the eshop on ether 3DS or Wii U. This was reconfirmed by the creator of Retro City Rampage.

FUN FACT: Every developer on Wii U gets a free Unity license and can self-publish, thus keeping all revenue & no pitching, no negotiation.
